Along with Justin Turner, the Dodgers also announced this morning that Yasmani Grandal and Kenley Jansen would return for the 2016 season.

It looks like Yasmani Grandal will be behind the plate catching Kenley Jansen again for the 2016 season. Both players were two of the six players from the Dodgers facing arbitration before heading into the 2016 season.

Yasmani Grandal was involved in the big trade last offseason with the San Diego Padres. At first may were unsure about his ability because he was facing a knee injury, but with the Dodgers in 2015 he played in 115 games and had a batting average of .234.

Jon Heyman broke the news on Twitter this afternoon

Grandal slowed down a little towards the end of the season when it became obvious that he was struggling with pain in his shoulder, but coming into 2016 he should be healthy and ready to play again without any pain. I personally think there is a lot of potential with Grandal this upcoming season and it will be interesting to see him play without any lingering injuries. 2.8M seems like a very fair price for a catcher with a lot of potential.

Kenley Jansen will also be returning next year with the Dodgers. Either this off-season his role seemed to be up for grabs when the Dodgers were close to acquiring Aroldis Chapman before the news in regards to the domestic violence case was made public. May were unsure if Jansen would return or if Chapman would be his replacement, but when that deal fell through it was clear the Dodgers still believe Jansen is the right man to get the ball in the 9th.

The six foot five closer proved to again be lights out in 2015. Jansen appeared in 54 games and posted an ERA of 2.41. In just 51.1 innings pitched, Jansen struck out 80 batters and had a WHIP of only 0.78.

The Dodgers and Jansen have agreed on 10.65 million for the 2016 season. However, following the 2016 Jansen will be a free-agent.

With the signing of Grandal and Jansen, the Dodgers have now signed all six players who were facing arbitration right at the deadline.
