Dodgers Notes: Sale and Frazier to LA For Prospects?

On Monday Dodgers shortstop, Corey Seager, won the 2016 NL Rookie of the Year. Then Dave Roberts won the NL Manager of the Year. It was a good season for Dodger personnel.
But with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim interest in third baseman, Justin Turner, a good 2016 season could turn into a sour 2017. In the situation that the Angeles acquire Turner then current third baseman of the Angels, Yunel Escobar, would move to the second base position. This would solve a lot of problems for the halos, but it’d create a lot of panicking for Dodgers fans.
A solution to this problem was presented by Robert Murray of FanRagSports. He reported that the Dodgers are interested in free agent Sean Rodriguez.

Rodriguez played for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2016 and posted a .270 batting average with 18 home runs in 300 at bats. He has played every position except for pitcher and catcher in his nine years in the MLB. The Dodgers could use him as a super utility man and possibly use him as a center fielder rather than Joc Pederson for when the club faces a left handed pitcher.
If that doesn’t spark your interest, Dave Williams of BarstoolSports reports that the Dodgers and White Sox are discussing a trade involving Chris Sale and Todd Frazier going to LA for a big prospect return.

WIth this trade, it could possibly mean that the Dodgers wouldn’t try to bring back Justin Turner and instead have Todd Frazier as their everyday third baseman. Frazier hit 40 home runs, but only held a .225 batting average. Meanwhile Turner hit 27 homers and carried a .275 batting average through 151 games.

In a perfect scenario the Dodgers will trade some prospects for Sale and Frazier, and they have Frazier start at third base while Turner stars at second base. Turner has played second base in the past so it wouldn’t be that tough of a transition for him.
