Dodgers don’t make an offer to Anthony Rendon; What’s next?
Trade for Francisco Lindor
The Dodgers were linked in trade rumors to Francisco Lindor yet again on Wednesday. This is the second time trade rumors have come up for the Dodgers and Lindor with the first time coming during the World Series. By acquiring Lindor, the Dodgers could shift Corey Seager over to third base which is where most project he will eventually end up. The only question is what the Dodgers are willing to give up.
Gavin Lux and Dustin May seem to be the initial asking price for two seasons of Lindor. Giving up Gavin Lux doesn’t hurt the Dodgers as much since they would have a full infield of Seager, Lindor, Muncy, and Turner but May is a big part of the future of the rotation. If the Dodgers could get the asking price down from Lux and May to Lux, Gonsolin and another lower-tier prospect or two then that would be good for the Dodgers.
