What better way to follow up a Max Muncy-led bashing in the Bay Area than with another start by a Dodgers breakout candidate?

On Monday, the Dodgers showed how thankful they were to finally get the Arizona Diamondbacks off their schedule by defeating the San Francisco Giants 9-1 and toppling Logan Webb. Seriously, for all this talk about the "balanced schedule," eight D-Backs games out of the first 10 contests of the season kind of feels like a lot.

Kudos to Arizona for showing up and sending the Dodgers to a 5-5 record. A road game at Oracle Park felt like a borderline vacation Monday night after getting out of that noise chamber in the desert.

Now, the Dodgers will go for the series win behind their newest young gun.

Dodgers Pitching Probables for Tuesday, April 11 vs Giants

It's Dustin May for the Dodgers, who's been absolute box office thus far in 2023 after slow-playing his return from Tommy John surgery in 2022.

Sadly, May wasn't a factor for the Dodgers in the postseason last year. His command/control didn't return as quickly as his popping fastball (to be expected), and he walked 14 men in 30 innings down the stretch, striking out 29 and posting a 4.50 ERA. Passable, sure, but far from electric.

This season, in two starts, May has broken the laws of physics and posted an 0.69 ERA, striking out only nine in 13 total innings. He'll be opposed on Tuesday night by old friend Alex Wood, the still-dependable left-hander who's thrown just three innings thus far this season (with an, uh, forgettable 2.67 WHIP).

Let's see if the Dodgers can keep things rolling.
