The stars will be out in Tampa Bay on Saturday as the Dodgers and Rays continue a weekend series between two of the best teams in baseball.

The Dodgers will lean on the resurgent Clayton Kershaw while the Rays hope that Tyler Glasnow can hit the ground running in his first start of 2023 after underdoing Tommy John surgery in 2021? How should we handicap this high level pitching matchup?

Let's share the odds and get to the best bet:

Dodgers vs. Rays odds, run line and total

Dodgers vs. Rays prediction and pick

Kershaw has been striking out batters at the highest rate since 2015 and that has led to a 2.98 ERA. He'll have his hands full with the Rays lineup that is the best in baseball against lefties (No. 1 in OPS), but I lean towards Kershaw putting together a quality start on Saturday.

The reason why I lean towards Los Angeles is the questions around Glasnow. When healthy this is a true Cy Young contender, but given the depth the Rays possess in the starting rotation I can see manager Kevin Cash putting a cap on his innings in hopes of stretching him out across the summer.

With question marks on the Rays' point of attack on the mound, I'll side with the Dodgers. LA is top 10 in OPS across the last 15 days (13 games) while hitting .256 as a unit. The Rays also are bottom 10 in terms of bullpen ERA this season, so with a heavy workload this can get away from the MLB's best team.

I'll take the more proven product on the mound and take LA to win as very slight underdogs.
