Padres vs. Dodgers prediction and odds for Sunday, May 14 (Value on the total)
By Peter Dewey

The Los Angeles Dodgers are looking for a sweep of the San Diego Padres after back-to-back 4-2 wins to open this series.
Los Angeles has opened up a three-game lead in the AL West, including a six-game lead on the Padres through the first month and a half of the 2023 season.
Tony Gonsolin (0-1, 1.93 ERA) gets the ball for the fourth time this season, and he will take on San Diego Padres lefty Ryan Weathers (1-1, 2.50 ERA).
Weathers came out of the bullpen in two outings to end April, but he has not pitched in the majors since then, so he may be stretched out enough to make a real start in this matchup.
Here are the odds and my best bet for this game:

Padres vs. Dodgers prediction and pick
I am surprised that the total for this game is all the way up at 9.5
The Dodgers and Padres have faced off five times this season, and each game has fallen short of this number.
While the pitching matchup isn’t the best, Gonsolin still has a sub-2.00 ERA in three starts and both teams are in the middle of the pack in bullpen ERA.
The Dodgers struggle mightily against left-handed pitching this season, ranking 22nd in OPS, so Weathers could have a solid outing if the team decides to let him go multiple innings.
It’s not a fun play, but the UNDER is the way to go on Sunday.
Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
