Dodgers 4 Diamondbacks 8: Yikes, Brett

The Dodgers would do well to find a 3rd starter before the playoffs start because, boy that was an ugly performance by Brett Anderson, he gave up more dingers than walks and as many walks as strikeouts. [poop emoji].

His FIP is hovering around the 4.00 mark for the season, and I don’t know how to interpret his season, good that he’s been an unexpected workhorse, and meh in every other aspect?

Well his ERA also jumped nearly 20 points, this is not the way you’d like for his season to end, I don’t know if more rest is the answer for him, but it’d be nice if he figured something out.

I am stoked for Yasmani Grandal, he launched his first home run since August 1st, an absolute moonshot to Center Field that AJ Pollock almost caught. But it ended up driving in Corey Seager who went 1-3 which made his average plummet to .377. But his ISO right now is .230 and he has an 11-9 BB/K ratio. That will play.

The bullpen didn’t fare very well either, Joel Peralta gave up a home run, all but ending any chance at a postseason berth for the veteran. His FIP this season? 5.52.

Juan Nicasio also didn’t look good, giving up 2 hard hit balls that were cashed in by a single by David Peralta off of Clayton Kesrhaw stunt dummy Ian Thomas.

Welp the magic number is still at 7, after what felt like a month of uninterrupted decreasing of that number, it is stuck at 7 and everything is awful. Time. To. Panic.
