Dodger Fans, The team has signed catcher Dioner Navarro back to the roster. He is going to be the backup catcher to starting catcher Rod Barajas next season.
An all star in Tampa in 2008, Navarro has a career batting average of .249. He has his 34 home runs and driven in 180 career RBIS.
His name should sound familiar to Dodgers Fans. He was our catcher from 2005-2006. In 2008 Dioner batted .295 with 54 RBIS on his way to an all star game appearance.
His past teams include the Yankees, Dodgers and Tampa Bay. (Both Rays and Devil Rays) Look for Dioner Navarro to provide a good backup role for the Dodgers backstop next season. My prediction is .271 with 3 home runs and 22 RBIS.
