There is some sad news to pass on to you Dodgers Nation. Former Dodgers Scout and Padres manager Steve Boros died at the age of 74.
Boros was a lead scout for the Dodgers in 1988 when they won the World Series.
He managed the Athletics and Padres for three seasons and was a player for the Detroit Tigers, Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds. Steve’s career year was in 1961 when he batted .270 with 5 home runs and 62 RBIS. He spent more than 45 years either playing, coaching, managing or working in the front office of baseball. As a manager Steve Boros was 168-200.
