The Dodgers Community Caravan Hits the Road This Week

The 9th annual Dodgers Community Caravan is scheduled for this upcoming Tuesday, February 7th and Wednesday, February 8th. Dodger players both current and former along with fans will participate in giving back to the community of Los Angeles.
On the first day of the Caravan, the participants include: Dee Gordon, Tony Gwynn Jr., Kenley Jansen, Adam Kennedy, Josh Lindblom, Ramon Troncoso, former Dodgers Tommy Davis, Al Ferrara, Shawn Green, Dennis Powell, and broadcaster Eric Collins.
The Caravan will make stops at The Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (Dodger partner in ThinkCure!), Mayberry Elementary School, LA Regional Food Bank, and Five Acres (The Boys’ and Girls’ Aid Society of Los Angeles County).
The Caravan bus will make a stop at an undisclosed location for lunch in South Los Angeles on Tuesday which will be open to the public. The location will be revealed via the Dodgers’ twitter account @Dodgers at 12:30pm Tuesday.
On the second day of the Caravan, the participants include: Andre Ethier, Javy Guerra, Jerry Hairston Jr., Josh Lindblom, James Loney, former Dodgers Bobby Castillo, “Sweet” Lou Johnson, Kenny Landreaux, Derrel Thomas, Fernando Valenzuela, and broadcaster Charley Steiner.
The Caravan will make stops at Frances Blend School (a special education school), MLB Urban Youth Academy, Habitat for Humanity, and the Dodgers Dreamfield Dedication Ceremony at Normandie Recreation Center.
