After last night’s victory and series win, the Dodgers now have a dominating 6 game lead in the NL West. The Rockies sit in fourth place and 8 1/2 games back of the Dodgers. Wouldn’t a series sweep sweeten the deal?

Ted Lilly will vie for his 5th win of the season, and he will try to go tit-for-tat with teammate and fellow lefty Chris Capuano who is 5-0. Lilly pitched 6 innings last time out against San Francisco allowing just one earned run on 4 hits. In his career, Lilly is 9-2 against the Rockies with a 3.77 ERA in 13 games started against them. Once again we have to be wary of CarGo who is hitting .400 against Lilly with 4 homeruns. Todd Helton also has two homeruns against Ted.

"“Lilly just seemed sharper coming into spring and it really has shown so far this season,” Mattingly said."

Alex White, right-hander, made 10 starts in the Majors last season which was his first year in the bigs. The Rockies acquired White from the Cleveland Indians in the Ubaldo Jimenez trade. When he was traded he was on the 60-day DL for right middle finger soreness. His career record is 3-5 with a 6.55 ERA in 11 Major League starts and 57 2/3 innings pitched. He has never faced the Dodgers. The only Dodger to have ever got a glimpse of White is Bobby Abreu who has had just two at bats against him.

The game will begin at 1:10 pm and will be televised on Prime Ticket.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there. Being a mother is the hardest job in the world, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything! Moms at Dodger Stadium for today’s game will receive an Andre Ethier tote bag.
