Matt Kemp Busy Getting Tattooed and Hanging Out With Rihanna

Matt Kemp is not just rehabbing his surgically repaired shoulder this offseason. Recent online pictures show his newly inked chest and Matt going on a dinner date with a certain ex-girlfriend.

Los Angeles tattoo artist Jun Cha posted some photos of Matt Kemp’s new tattoo on his website. The detailed piece was in tribute to his late grandfather. The large black and grey tattoo of Kemp’s grandparents is on the left side of his chest. Kemp has had other tattoo work done by Cha including a piece on his left sleeve depicting the archangel Michael back in November 2010. The caption under the photo of his newest tattoo reads “More with Matt to come…”

Matt was also spotted alongside another tattoo aficionado. None other than his ex Rhianna. According to Hollywoodlife.com, the two were seen together at dinner in L.A. on January 13th. Rihanna has been reportedly upset that on-again-off-again boyfriend Chris Brown has been hanging out with model Karrueche Tran, his ex-flame. The date between Rihanna and Matt have sparked a slew of speculation that the two are back together. They have remained friends since their split, and it is possible that they are just hanging out as friends.Kemp dated the pop singer from December 2009 to November 2010. Many Dodger fans cited that one of the reasons that Matt Kemp struggled during the season of 2010 was because his relationship with the Barbadian beauty was taking his mind off the game. Kemp hit .249/.310/.450 with 28 homeruns and 89 RBI in 2010.

I’m more concerned about Kemp’s shoulder coming into Spring Training than who he is dating. Rhianna is gorgeous, yet her unhealthy relationship with Chris Brown is problematic. I just hope that none of her drama affects our star center fielder, especially right before the beginning to a season in which we have high expectations for his healthy return.
