News flash the Dodgers are no longer undefeated since the all-star break. The horror! I know it sucks, but they can’t win them all. And with that due to lose thing hanging over their head at least they got it out of the way now, rather than later. And maybe the Dbacks won’t be playing the Cubs tonight? Doesn’t it seem like they’ve been playing them for weeks now?
Kershaw goes for his tenth win tonight-.Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports
Tonight in game two of this four game set with Cincinnati, the Dodgers (53-48) will face Mr. No-hitter and right hander Homer Bailey. Bailey has struggled since pitching his second no-no against the Giants back on July 2. Since then he’s allowed 11 runs on 27 hits in 17 frames. Bailey is 3-1 against the Dodgers lifetime. He made 121 pitches in his last start, so let’s see if fatigue possibly plays a factor. The Dodgers might only be hitting .243 (26 for 107), but Adrian Gonzalez is hitting .553 off of Bailey with five home runs. The 27 year old right hander is 5-9 this season with a 3.84 ERA and 133 whiffs. Check out what the rest of the Dodgers have done against Bailey.
