No More Excuses, The Dodgers Just Stink Right Now
They stink like hot garbage left out on the street for weeks. Yes the Dodgers certainly suck this year, and the losses are starting to mount now. The Dodgers have looked bad since the start of the season, and things are probably not going to change anytime soon. Change takes time.
The Dodgers are 13-11, but are now 5-8 at home , and have lost five of their six extra inning games this year. Remember seven of their 13 wins have been against the last place Arizona Dbacks. The club is 6-10 against everyone else. Don’t be fooled by their deceptive record.

The Dodgers have sucked at every aspect of the game. The club can’t hit at home. They have no situational hitting at all. They don’t get on base, nor do they consistently make contact. The club has been striking out at an alarming rate.
The starting pitchers can’t go more than five innings. (Beckett’s great start Friday night not withstanding). The bullpen is exhausted, and appears merely league average.
The Dodgers are the worst defensive club in the majors. They’ve made the second most amount of errors in the majors with 23. The club has played 24 games.
I’m sorry, but I just don’t see it this year. At least last year the club had some legitimate excuses. They didn’t have Hanley Ramirez, and they hadn’t called up Yasiel Puig yet. Both players are with the club this year. Hanley is healthy and playing, and so is Puig. But both are playing like crap just like the rest of them.
That’s what concerns me most about the club. There’s no Punto or Schumaker gumming up the works this year. Most of the club is there, and healthy, (minus Clayton Kershaw, and A.J. Ellis).
So this year, there is no Hanley coming back. And there is no Puig to save them. There are no more white nights at their door. It’s unlikely the Dodgers will go on another 42-8 run again. Those kinds of runs only happen once in a lifetime. They don’t happen two years in a row.
So the Dodgers can’t hit at home, therefore they can’t win at home. They can’t play defense. They can’t hold leads, and they can’t win series. Once again Don Mattingly is clueless on what to do. It’s time for some changes. It’s time to start playing some of the young prospects.
Some clubs just have bad years, So far this year is turning into a forgettable season. Yes on paper, the Dodgers have a very talented roster of players. But the games are not played on paper, they are played on the field. It takes more than that to win. It takes drive, and discipline, and it takes strategy. It takes heart, and hustle. So far this season the Dodgers have shown none of those qualities that good teams use to win ball games.
I am sick of the lethargic play. I am sick of the losing. I know it’s still early, but either make some changes or figure it out. No more excuses. The Dodgers owe it to their fans to play better than this. I’m sorry guys, I am very frustrated. I just hope things get better soon.
