Vin Scully To Return For 2015

The Dodgers just announced that the greatest broadcaster in the history of sports will be returning to the broadcast booth for his unprecedented 66th season. Vin Scully will be coming back for the 2015 season. The Dodgers made the announcement during the second inning of their opening game of their three game series with the Atlanta Braves. The announcement was delivered by Hyun-jin Ryu in Korean, Yasiel Puig in Spanish, and Justin Turner in English. In any language you say it, this is joyous news.

we love you Vin, please don’t ever leave us-Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Vin Scully made this statement after the announcement was made.

"It is very difficult to say goodbye,” said Scully. “God willing, I will be back next year. Over the years I have been blessed to have so many friends, including those that sit in the stands and listen, as well as those at home who listen and watch. It is just too hard to say goodbye to all these friends. Naturally there will come a time when I will have to say goodbye, but I’ve soul-searched and this is not the time.”"

Every season millions of Dodger fans around the world fear that it may be Vin’s final season with the Dodgers. Thank god we won’t have to worry about that this season as Vin will once again bless us all with his beautiful voice for another year. Vin has been the voice of the Dodgers since 1950.

Just moments after the announcement was made to the Dodger Stadium crowd, Matt Kemp blasted a two-run home run to right field to give the Dodgers a 2-1 lead.

Thank you Vin, for all that you do. We’re not ready to say goodbye either. Don’t ever leave us. We love you.
