quick and agile fielder once the opposition is able to put their bat on one of his pitch’s. Greinke is one of the best hitting pitchers in the league, and he wowed everyone with a two-run homerun against the hated Giants this past September during an epic 17-0 trouncing of San Francisco.

I will never forget that glorious evening at AT&T Park. The Dodgers clobbered the pumpkin-colored foes on their own turf, and Zack Greinke dug the sword in a little further by hitting a homerun past the seagulls. Juan Uribe, Zack Greinke and Scott Van Slyke all hit homeruns, and the Dodgers put up a historic 24 hits on the scoreboard.

Greinke’s beautiful homerun came in the top of the sixth inning off Mike Kickham. A.J. Ellis singled to lead off the frame, and Greinke proceeded to take the first pitch he saw, a four-seam fastball, over the left center field fence.
It was Greinke’s fourth career homerun, and his first one since 2012 with Milwaukee. He hit one homerun with the Royals back in 2005, and he hit three total with the Brewers.

If you are keeping score, Clayton Kershaw has hit just one homerun, his breathtaking Opening Day homer at Dodger Stadium to open 2013.

"“That was a little different game, huh?” Los Angeles manager Don Mattingly said. “It was good to get those runs early. It’s one of those games where everything seemed to go our way and then Zack kind of slams the door.”"

Greinke finished the 2014 season with a .200 batting average, the highest amongst Dodger starting pitchers.
