6 Reasons Not to Take Yasiel Puig for Granted

That smile. Puig reminds me of two of my favorite Dodgers of all time: Jackie Robinson and Raul Mondesi. Like his predecessors, Puig is dynamic, aggressive and stylish on the baseball diamond. Yet his talents back it all up. Puig’s personality is bigger than his batting average, and he’s become a fan favorite very quickly in Los Angeles. He can be found dancing in the clubhouse, and he is always down to have a little bit of fun. After all, baseball is a fun game. Taking yourself too seriously is never healthy. Puig may have made some personal mistakes after arriving in the United States, but hopefully he has learned and grown like we all did when we were that age. He’s a Dodger we can emotionally be invested in, and I hope that his success will continue to prove the naysayers wrong.
