In conclusion, Yasiel Puig is a fantastic baseball player. His Dodger career has just begun, but it’s shaping up to be a historic one. I’m excited to see what his third major league season brings, and I’m looking forward to him receiving more recognition instead of hate. Even though Clayton Kershaw gets a lot of the love, and rightfully so, Puig shouldn’t be overlooked when we take a glance back at the Dodgers’ success over the last two years. Without Puig sparking the team to life in 2013, the two consecutive National League West titles would have not been so easy to come by. Baseball transcends language and cultural differences, and Puig is a great ambassador for the global market for the MLB. The Dodgers should not take Puig for granted, because he is a one in a million Wild Horse.
