  • The pitchers and catchers will have their first official workout on February 20. The full squad reports on the 25 with the first workout on the following day.

The first couple of weeks of spring training are boring to be honest. Nothing much happens. The players report, and take their physicals first. Then they begin to workout, run, and play catch. The pitchers have bullpen sessions, while the hitters take batting practice. If you like watching the players exercise then I guess then the first two weeks of spring are for you. The Dodgers will play a 35 game exhibition schedule this spring, with 15 spring games at Camelback Ranch. Two games will be played at Anaheim Stadium, and one game at Dodger Stadium.

Finally the Dodgers will have a somewhat normal spring. No World Baseball classic to break our shortstop’s finger, and no crazy trips to the other side of the world. Just down home exhibition games at Camelback.

The first exhibition game is scheduled for March 4 at Camelback Ranch against the White Sox at 12:05 PM. Is it opening day yet?
