Dodgers Return Home For Final Exhibition Game
By Scott Andes

Well my lovely Larians, I am back at Dodger Stadium, and in the press box for the final game of the three game freeway series between the Dodgers and the Angels. You could say I am back in the saddle, and ready for the start of another exciting Dodger Baseball season. We’ll be here all season long for you, providing you with our usual daily game coverage. We’ll cover every game, and hopefully have some fun with all of you along the way.

As for today, the Dodgers are finalizing their opening day roster and I am expecting to see the finished product soon. We’ll probably see it sometime after the game. Clubs have until Sunday morning at 9 AM Pacific time to submit their rosters to MLB.
The Dodgers will have right hander Brett Anderson on the mound tonight, as the boys in blue try to salvage one game in this three game exhibition series. Anderson went six frames in his last start, and should make the same amount of pitches. The Dodgers added three minor league hurlers to the roster for tonight’s game. Those three pitchers are right hander Chin-Hui Tsao, left hander Jeremy Horst, and old friend Ramon Troncoso.
Tsao last pitched March 27 against San Francisco where he allowed three earned runs in one inning of work. Horst hasn’t pitched since March 29, against the Giants as well, and Troncoso hasn’t seen any action since March 21 in the San Antonio series. The Angels will counter tonight with left hander Hector Santiago.

Her e are the lineups for tonight. The clubs will be using a DH for tonight’s affair. Adrian Gonzalez will be the DH for the Dodgers, and long time Dodger nemesis Albert Pujols will serve as DH for the Halos. The Dodgers will have Yasmani Grandal behind the plate, and batting sixth. The outfield will be Yasiel Puig in right field, Carl Crawford in left, and Joc Pederson in center field. Scott Van Slyke will be at first base, and the rest of the infield will consist of Howie Kendrick at second base, Jimmy Rollins and short, and Juan Uribe at third.

The Dodgers have a 16-11-7 record this spring, with a franchise record of seven ties. That gives them the second best winning percentage (.593) in the National League this spring. That is their best spring winning percentage since they posted an 18-13-2 (.581) in 2001. The Dodgers have never been swept in the freeway series, so let’s hope they don’t start now.
Monday everything begins again, and we welcome you to embark on another 162 game journey with us. I feel like a new man! Check back in over here with us for more news and notes after the game.
