8. Corey Seager

Seager is the number two prospect on (number one with Byron Buxton currently up for Minnesota) and most signs point to him being the shortstop of the future. Unless the Dodgers want to take the Kris Bryant approach and get an extra year of Seager, he should be the opening day shortstop next year and they might as well bring him up to get his feet wet in September. Seager has a .275/.329/.440 slashline in AAA and could be a solid lefty off the bench for the Dodgers in September. If Jimmy Rollins hadn’t heated up, there’s a chance Seager would already be the starter, but Rollins has definitely earned his keep so far in the second half.
