Luis Avilan– C+

Avilan quickly became a solid reliever out of the pen, even if his numbers say otherwise. A 5.17 ERA (3.64 FIP) is not great, but he got the Dodgers out of a number of sticky situations.

The only Avilan moment that stuck out to me was in the September first game against the Giants, where Avilan came in with two on and one out and on the seventh pitch of the at bat, got Brandon Belt to ground into a double play to keep the Dodgers up 2-1.

Avilan appeared in two of the Dodgers five postseason games. He finished off the blowout loss in New York, but was brought in with two on and two out in game five and kept the Mets off the board.

Avilan is still under team control and could potentially become the go-to lefty out of the bullpen, even though he had reverse splits this year.
