Dodgers Nats Position-by-Position Breakdown

Shortstop: Corey Seager vs Danny Espinosa
I’m quite partial to Espinosa. He went to my alma mater Long Beach State, which means he’s great. He had an 80-grade mustache and he hits dingers.
His on-base percentage is a point lower than Seager’s batting average.
Espinosa is a fine piece to the lineup. He doesn’t hit for average or get on base well, but he hits dingers. He hit 24 of those, and at the bottom of the lineup that has value. He’s pretty solid defensively as well.
He plays the same position as Corey Seager.
What’s left to say about Seager? He’s going to run away with the rookie of the year award. He’ll get some MVP votes as well, and if he finishes any lower than third in the MVP race people should be fired. Daniel Murphy will likely finish above him and Kris Bryant will win. Seager is a beast offensively, pretty much already surpassing any expectations people had for him. He was much better than advertised on defense as well, and should be able to stick at short for a while.
Much like second base wasn’t close, shortstop isn’t close either.
