Game One: Clayton Kershaw (6-5, 2.40 ERA) Vs. Jon Gray (11-7, 4.70 ERA)

Just like old times, the Dodgers will rely on Clayton Kershaw to get them off to a strong start in one of their biggest series of the season.  Besides losing a few miles per hour off his fastball, Clayton Kershaw has been as reliable as ever.  In his last three starts, Kershaw only has one win but carries a 2.05 ERA.  This will be the first time that Kershaw faces the Rockies this season.

Opposing Kershaw will be Jon Gray.  Gray’s stats are a bit misleading as he currently has a 4.70 ERA.  In his last seven starts, however, Gray has a 3.64 ERA.  Gray’s FIP of 3.59 also shows that he has been a bit unlucky this season and has pitched better than his ERA suggests.  Gray faced the Dodgers on August 10th and gave up four runs in 5 2/3 innings.
