2. Another Elite Bullpen Option

For the second consecutive season, the Dodger bullpen faltered in the World Series.  Kenley Jansen once again proved he is incapable of going two innings in the postseason and the Dodgers’ method of sticking starting pitchers in the bullpen also faltered.  Alex Wood gave up a big home run in game one of the World Series that started the demise of the 2018 Dodgers.

The Dodgers need to go out this off-season and acquire a dominant eighth inning reliever.  Whether they dip into the rich free agent pool that includes Adam Ottavino, Andrew Miller, or Kelvin Herrera or pursue a trade, the Dodgers need to find that elite set up reliever.  This would allow Jansen to only work one inning saves where he is more effective, and it would turn the Dodgers’ existing relief options into above average middle relievers.
