Come up clutch in 2019

The Dodgers who seemingly came from behind almost every time they trailed in 2017, could not repeat their clutch performances in 2018.  The Dodgers were one of the worst teams in baseball with runners in scoring position and hit .253 with RISP which ranked them 13th in all of baseball.  With two outs and runners in scoring position the Dodgers hit just .199 which tied them with the Baltimore Orioles for the worst average in the big leagues.

The playoffs were not any better as the Dodgers’ offense seemingly disappeared and the one game they did win went eighteen innings as the Dodgers and Red Sox both traded missed opportunities.  The return of Corey Seager will help as he is one of LA’s most clutch hitters and batting next to Justin Turner they should have plenty of clutch opportunities in 2019.  Then there is David Freese for a full season who could be utilized as a late game pinch-hitter when he doesn’t start.
