Dodgers Rumor Round Up: Bryce Harper, JT Realmuto, Signings
By Jacob Rudner
If you follow me on Twitter you would have seen over the last few days that I have been reporting a string of international minor league signings. In the last few days, the Dodgers have inked 17-year-old shortstop, Bladimir De La Rosa and 18-year-old catcher, Frank Rodriguez. Both are from the Dominican Republic.

To be honest, I cannot tell you much about either player. Both are extremely young and neither one is a top international free agent.
If I had to guess, both will stay in the Dominican Republic and play for the Dodgers summer league teams before coming to the United States a few years down the line.
Here is what I do know about both them. De La Rosa is from San Pedro de Macoris, a part of the island known specifically for its development of shortstops and is known as The Cradle of Shortstops. Players like Robinson Cano, Johnny Cueto and Fernando Tatis are from the province and they are just a few from a massive list. If De La Rosa is anything like the talent that comes out of the area, he is a steal.
As for Rodriguez, I really do not know much. I can tell you he plays catcher, bats and throws right-handed and is from Santiago.
As far as signings go these two are pretty small. Both are complete unknowns and I have not found or heard anything but their names and where they are from in my research. As soon as I know I will share but, for now, just know that these signings are not high profile.
