Solid Foundation

The Dodgers would give Bryce Harper the best team foundation of any of the other teams involved in his sweepstakes.  The Dodgers have a young core that will help them contend for many seasons to come in Buehler, Bellinger, Taylor, Seager, and Urias.  Then there are the prospects still to come like Keibert Ruiz, Dustin May, and DJ Peters who could all be impact players.

Not only are the Dodgers set up to win now, but they are also set up to win for many seasons to come and they are backed by a rich ownership group that has always kept the Dodgers in the top five payrolls in the game.  The Dodgers have the resources they need to go out and make impact trades or signings while maintaining a top ten farm system in baseball.

The Phillies have not been a serious playoff contender in years and the Giants had a successful run but their core has aged and they do not have a very good farm system at all.  The Giants are better off rebuilding and the Phillies will struggle to win the NL East even with the services of Bryce Harper.  The Dodgers are the best team in a watered down division with the prospects and financial resources to be good for a very long time.
