Tony Gonsolin

The Dodgers’ 2018 minor league pitcher of the year is a possible spot starter for Saturday’s game.  Tony Gonsolin last pitched Sunday for the Oklahoma City Dodgers so he could get an extra day of rest and start Saturday instead.  Gonsolin put himself firmly in the Dodgers’ top prospect mix last season after seeing increased velocity and went 10-2 combined between stints with the Quakes and Drillers.

This spring, Tony spent plenty of time in big league camp and allowed just one earned run.  In his season debut with the OKC Dodgers, he threw four innings allowing three runs while striking out eight.  Gonsolin is not currently on the forty man roster but could be added with two open spots.  Gonsolin is another popular choice given his rank amongst Dodger prospects.
