The Dodgers offense couldn’t get much going on Thursday night as they fell to the Nationals 6-0.  Here are the latest news and notes on the Dodgers.

Tony Cingrani remains on the mend for the Dodgers as he is currently with the Oklahoma City Dodgers as he progresses towards a return.  Yesterday, Cingrani made his third rehab appearance and pitched a scoreless eighth inning allowing just one walk and no base hits.  So far, Tony has pitched three scoreless innings allowing two hits and no runs while striking out three.  It’s not yet known how many appearances he will make.

Cingrani was limited to just over twenty-two innings last season as he dealt with various shoulder injuries.  When healthy, Tony is a strikeout machine.  Last season he struck out 36 batters in those twenty-two innings giving him a 14.2 strikeout per nine innings rating.  He is out of options so he must be added to the big league roster after his rehab stint.
