Jordan Sheffield

One of the lesser known secrets in all of baseball is that the Dodgers need help in their bullpen.  If it weren’t for their mediocre bullpen, the Dodgers would have even more wins which is crazy to think about given they lead MLB in wins.  While they will likely look outside the organization for at least one reliever, the team does have potential help inside the organization.

One of them is another prospect who can still help in 2019, which is Jordan Sheffield.  Sheffield began his season in Rancho Cucamonga and dominated the opposition pitching to a 2.60 ERA and a 0.98 WHIP.  Somehow he has been even better with the Double-A Tulsa Drillers posting an ERA of 0.61 and a WHIP of 0.83.  More than any other reliever in the Dodgers’ farm system, Sheffield could be a difference maker for the bullpen as soon as this season.
