And who sits?

More than likely, Pederson will sit the most, along with Gyorko, simply because of their deficiency in one area, defense is particularly glaring.

For Kris, his bat just is not where the rest of the roster is. Gyorko and Pederson just aren’t good defenders, plain and simple.

Taylor and Hernandez should dominate the platoon landscape and the days the middle infielders Muncy and Seager sit games out against tough lefties. They may even come in, along with Negron, as defensive replacements late in close games.

Overall, having the roster flexibility provided by these two supermen up the middle will give the Dodgers an added jolt of defense, while allowing the big lefty bats more time to rest heading into the homestretch.
