Gavin Lux to start against right-handed pitching

One of the other big news pieces to come out on Monday involves highly touted prospect Gavin Lux who will be making his MLB debut on Monday.  Lux will be the regular second baseman against right-handed pitching and has a chance to make the postseason roster according to Dave Roberts.  One has to wonder if this would be the case if Max Muncy never went down.

The Dodgers had been starting Muncy at second base against right-handed pitching but in his abscence, Lux will not be the regular at second base.  Chris Taylor and Enrique Hernandez will likely get starts at second base against southpaw starters.  Lux will need a strong September to make his case for the postseason roster.  Given his hitting ability, it would be surprising if he is left off the playoff roster.
