The Dodgers are set to face the AL wild card contending Rays for the last series of the regular season against a team outside the NL West.

For the last time in the 2019 regular season, the Dodgers are going to face a team outside of the National League West division.  It will also mark the last series against a playoff-caliber opponent as the Rays are currently the second American League wild card team and come into Los Angeles just one win shy of reaching the 90 win plateau.

The Dodgers will face a pair of hard throwing southpaw starters in Blake Snell and Brendan McKay.  That should mean more action for David Freese who has not appeared in a game since September 11th in Baltimore.  It will also be interesting to see if the Dodgers bench Gavin Lux against the two lefties.  So far in his brief career, Lux is 1-5 against southpaws with one home run.

Here is a series preview of the brief two game series that will be played at Chavez Ravine.
