So far, the Nationals big three starting pitchers have beaten the Dodgers’ own. All three have already pitched for the Nats, while Hill pitches tonight.

Yep, that’s right, all three of the Nationals’ best have already thrown against the Dodgers this series. If you didn’t watch game 2 of the NLDS, Max Scherzer, the game 4 starter for the Nats, pitched a scoreless inning of relief to get his team a good shot at a win in a game that was decided by just two runs.

He only tossed 14 pitches, striking out the side. Not only did he keep his pitch count low enough to be able to be relatively fresh for his start tonight, he also got his team the win and gave himself some momentum against the Dodgers offense.

Considering his competitive nature and lights out stuff, Scherzer will make things tough for the Dodgers, just like Patrick Corbin and Stephen Strasburg have done before him.

With the series tied at 1-1, and with the home crowd left back in Los Angeles, the Dodgers will need every advantage they can to take down Mad Max. Luckily for them, he’s been beaten before. The three-time Cy Young award winner nearly got taken down in the Wild Card game this season.

How can the Dodgers beat him, and more importantly beat the rest of the Nationals arms? That’s what I sought to find out.
