Minnesota Twins

The Minnesota Twins were a big surprise in 2019 as they won 101 games and won the American League Central over the Cleveland Indians who were heavy favorites.  It was a big turnaround from 2018 where the Twins went just 78-84 and trailed the Indians by 13 games.  Now the Twins will be looking to stay atop the AL Central and Hyun-Jin Ryu makes a ton of sense for them.

The Twins have three starting pitchers heading to free agency in Michael Pineda, Jake Odorizzi, and Kyle Gibson.  They will definitely be in the market for at least one if not two starting pitchers.  Ryu would be a big upgrade for their rotation if they are willing to spend a little more money.  For a pitcher of Ryu’s caliber, chances are that they would be willing to spend a little extra cash.
