The Dodgers and White Sox talked about Joc Pederson last off-season.  The two teams should matchup for a deal that would help both clubs.

The Chicago White Sox have come out swinging this off-season, signing former Dodgers’ catcher Yasmani Grandal and signing first baseman Jose Abreu to an extension.  It was last off-season that the White Sox and Dodgers talked about a possible Joc Pederson trade and it makes too much sense for them to not re-visit those trade talks.

The White Sox are a young team that is looking to push their way into playoff contention in 2020.  They have gotten their off-season off to a strong start and are now going to pursue a starting pitcher.  Their outfield could use another bat and the Dodgers could unload Joc’s salary while getting a reliever in return.  The reliever that would make perfect sense for LA is Aaron Bummer.

The White Sox are looking to push their way into contention for a playoff spot in 2020 and Joc Pederson would be a logical trade target as they continue that push.  Here is why the deal makes sense for both sides.
