The Dodgers have been linked to Madison Bumgarner and Hyun-Jin Ryu.  Which southpaw starting pitcher should the Dodgers sign?

With Gerrit Cole off the free-agent market, the Dodgers have been linked to two veteran starting pitchers.  Hyun-Jin Ryu is one which comes as no surprise but the other left-handed starter is a big surprise, Madison Bumgarner.  With Julio Urias, Dustin May, and Kenta Maeda all projected to make the starting rotation, the Dodgers could use another innings eater in their rotation.

Hyun-Jin Ryu has several teams interested in him including the Dodgers.  The other clubs with known interest are the Blue Jays, Rangers, Angels, Twins, and the Cardinals who recently met with Ryu’s representatives.  Madison Bumgarner’s biggest suitor so far seems to be the Dodgers.

Ken Rosenthal reported on MLB Network that the Dodgers met with Bumgarner’s agent on Tuesday at the Winter Meetings.  The Twins were also linked to Bumgarner although the only reported team to meet with Bumgarner’s agent so far is the Dodgers.  So which starting pitcher is a better fit going forward for the blue?
