Bring Hyun-Jin Ryu back to Los Angeles

This may not be the most enticing move for the Dodgers but it would still be a very solid move.  Hyun-Jin Ryu has put together his two best seasons over the last two years and he has the repertoire to continue fooling batters if his velocity dips over the next two to three seasons.  After Gerrit Cole and Stephen Strasburg, the case could be made that Ryu is the next best starter.

The other big name left on the free-agent market is Dallas Keuchel and Ryu is a much better pitcher than Keuchel.  Although Keuchel’s ERA was a solid 3.75 in 2019, his FIP came in at a much more mediocre 4.72.  Hyun-Jin Ryu is the best available starting pitcher and if the Dodgers want to bring the “Korean Monster” back he would help cement the LA rotation as one of the best in baseball.
