The Los Angeles Dodgers can do no wrong of late. They’ve lost just five (!) games in the month of August and have tightened the gap in the NL West to just 2.5 games.

While the Giants haven’t lost much either, they started a brutal nine-game stretch against the Braves, Brewers and Dodgers on Friday night.

The Dodgers’ meanwhile, started a three-game series vs the Rockies on Friday night and have an excellent chance to pick up some more ground on the Giants.

However, Los Angeles dropped their series-opener against Colorado and failed to take advantage of a rare San Francisco loss.

While the Dodgers are allowed to lose games, suffice it to say they can’t afford to blow more of these opportunities. Let’s hope they get back on track against their division “rivals” on Saturday.

On the run line, Los Angeles has -120 odds to cover -1.5 (bet $120 to win $100), and Colorado is +100 to win or lose by two runs or more.

The over/under currently sits at an even 9.0 with the over getting -105 odds and the under sitting at -115.

Dodgers Pitcher Today

David Price will take the mound for the Dodgers in this one. The veteran southpaw has been solid opening games for Los Angeles this month, allowing nine runs and posting 12 strikeouts over four starts (17 innings).

The Rockies will counter with Jon Gray, who’s 7-10 with a 4.13 ERA this season. Widely rumored to be on the move at the trade deadline, Colorado stunned everyone by not dealing the right-hander to a contender.

Since the All-Star Game, it’s been all downhill for Gray, as he’s 1-4 with a 4.93 ERA, 15 walks and a 1.49 WHIP.

Dodgers vs Rockies Prediction Today

As as long as Price can offer four or five steady innings, the Dodgers should roll on Saturday. While Gray’s a talented pitcher, he’s hit a wall since the All-Star Break and Los Angeles’ lineup should bounce back from a rare lackluster performance

Dodgers win, 7-3.
