Everyone’s a Cubs fan today, as the Los Angeles Dodgers look to go for the series sweep over the San Diego Padres on Sunday. Seriously, can the Giants lose? Just once?

The Dodgers became the second team in MLB to reach 90 wins on Saturday … but they’re still 2.5 games back of the division. All LA has to do is continue to win and see how the rest unfolds. It’s up to fate at this point.

On Saturday night, Mookie Betts’ three-run homer helped lift the team to victory and kept a late Padres comeback at bay. Walker Buehler got the win after seven innings of two-run ball and the duo of Joe Kelly and Kenley Jansen picked up the slack and slammed the door after Blake Treinen allowed two runs to make it a 5-4 game.

The Dodgers will go for the sweep on Sunday in what’s expected to be a delightful pitcher’s duel between two of the hottest arms in the league. Let’s check out today’s betting preview.

Dodgers vs Padres Odds Today

Per WynnBET, the Dodgers are heavy favorites at -175 on the moneyline (bet $175 to win $100) and the Pads come in as +150 underdogs (bet $100 to win $150). If you want to live on the wild side and take the run line, the Dodgers can be had for a better price of +120 (bet $100 to win $120) if you take them -1.5 runs (they have to win by more than two), but the Padres jump to -140 (bet $140 to win $100) if you want the +1.5 advantage (the bet cashes if they win or lose by one).

The over/under for runs scored has been set at 7.5. The over is +100 (bet $100 to win $100) and the under is -120 (bet $120 to win $100).

Dodgers Pitcher Today

It’s Max Scherzer (13-4, 2.28 ERA), who is blistering ahead in the NL Cy Young race, vs Blake Snell (7-6, 4.22 ERA), who has been tremendous since the beginning of August. Scherzer’s dominance speaks for itself, but Snell has handled the Dodgers this year and has allowed just eight earned runs over his last seven starts, which have totaled 43.2 innings.

Scherzer got knocked around by the Pads when he was a member of the Washington Nationals, but his 10-strikeout performance against San Diego on Aug. 26 flipped the script. The Dodgers have yet to lose a game he’s pitched … but the Padres owe Snell after they let his last gem against the Angels go to waste by scoring zero runs.

Dodgers vs Padres Prediction Today

The Padres are tied with the Reds for the second NL Wild Card spot, as the Dodgers/Giants have all but officially locked up the first one. That said, San Diego’s disastrous slide since mid-August offers little confidence that they have the type of fight required to salvage a victory against MLB’s best pitcher in Scherzer. They’re 8-18 over the last month of action, while the Dodgers have 90 wins as they continue to deal with injuries and bouts of offensive inefficiency.

Dodgers win, 4-3.
