The worst-case scenario reality is slowly settling in for the Los Angeles Dodgers. With just three games remaining in the 2021 regular season, the reigning champs sit two games behind the San Francisco Giants in the NL West.

For any fans holding out hope that the Giants might collapse in their final series, they face the Padres, who are in free-fall mode right now after getting swept by the Dodgers and Braves in consecutive series’.

All the Dodgers can do is handle their own business and they’ll have the luxury of facing a Brewers team that already clinched the NL Central and has nothing to play for. That should give the advantage to Los Angeles.

Let’s see if the odds agree.

Dodgers vs Brewers Odds Today

According to our friends at WynnBet, the Dodgers are favored -225 on the moneyline (bet $225 to win $100), whereas the Brewers are +180 (bet $100 to win $180). The Dodgers are also favored on the run line, getting -110 odds to win by two runs or more. The Brewers are -110 to win outright or lose by less than two.

The over/under is set at eight runs, with the over checking in at -105 odds and the under sitting at -115.

Dodgers Pitcher Today

The Dodgers will send Clayton Kershaw (10-8, 3.38 ERA) to the mound in this one. Kershaw has made three starts since returning from a lengthy layoff due to shoulder inflammation. He hasn’t lasted more than five innings in any of those outings, so it’ll be interesting to see if LA pushes him in his final postseason tune-up.

It’ll be a lefty-dominated night in Los Angeles, as Milwaukee will counter with Eric Lauer (7-5, 2.93 ERA). The 26-year-old has been nails for the Brewers this season, as he hasn’t allowed more than three runs in a start since mid-June.

Dodgers vs Brewers Prediction Today

The Dodgers are just 1-3 vs the Brewers this campaign, but we can’t envision them losing at home with Kershaw on the bump. Los Angeles has all the wind in their sails after sweeping the rival Padres and they aren’t going to concede the division crown to the Giants after fighting tooth and nail all season.

It also seems noteworthy that Milwaukee has nothing to play for after wrapping up their own division title this week. Kershaw delivers in another must-win game and the Dodgers cruise to a 6-2 victory.
