The Los Angeles Dodgers have a massive decision to make on Tarik Skubal this offseason; however, Andrew Friedman's under-the-radar moves will also have a tremendous impact on fans' emotions. In particular, beloved utility player Kiké Hernández is a free agent and will either re-sign with the Dodgers or retire like Miguel Rojas.

Bleacher Report recently pitched the idea of Mauricio Dubon signing with the Dodgers signing to replace Hernández and Rojas, which could easily go over Los Angeles like a lead balloon despite the two sides looking like a great fit on paper.

Will the Los Angeles Dodgers talk themselves into signing long-time nememis Mauricio Dubon?

Dubon is not exactly beloved amongst Dodgers fans — he made his MLB debut with the Milwaukee Brewers, then played for the San Francisco Giants, the Houston Astros and the Atlanta Braves. Those four fanbases are not exactly allies with the Dodgers' faithful.

Dubon slashed .276/.321/.399 with 12 home runs and 73 RBI in 153 games with the Braves last season, and can play almost any position across the diamond.

As Dodgers fans are well-aware, Hernández is a playoff monster. He is tied for 18th all-time in postseason home runs (17) with David Ortiz, Jim Thome and Aaron Judge. He has just one fewer playoff home run in his career than Freddie Freeman and two fewer than Max Muncy.

Despite what the baseball public may think, the Dodgers won back-to-back titles not just because of their talent, but in part, because of a cohesive clubhouse. Glue-guys like Hernández are more-than-needed because they keep the team loose and emphasize the importance of having fun while playing a kid's game.

There's no way that Dubon could bring the same energy and vibes as Hernández (and Rojas for that matter) into the clubhouse and in the dugout. Losing a proven playoff commodity and adding Dubon as a super-utility player would pain Dodgers fans, but it would make all the sense in the world on paper.

Pairing Dubon with Tommy Edman would be a quite-savvy move, and it would allow Freeman, Muncy, Mookie Betts, Kyle Tucker and others to get a day off their feet whenever they need.
