Dodgers fans aren't ready to come off their high just yet. After taking down the New York Yankees in the World Series, the LA faithful are ready to party in the streets and celebrate their team's eighth World Championship.

But an interesting social media post may have Los Angeles Dodgers fans ready to turn their attention to the offseason a little earlier than expected. Free agent to-be Corbin Burnes, who's definitely going to test the open market, had an intriguing reaction to the Dodgers' World Series victory.

Corbin Burnes' cryptic tweet after Dodgers' World Series win has heads spinning

After the Dodgers won the 2024 World Series in five games, Major League Baseball's social media team posted a graphic to X (formerly Twitter) celebrating the achievement. Burnes reposted it with three wide-eyed emojis, and that seems rather significant.

Burnes was traded from the Milwaukee Brewers this past offseason and landed with the Baltimore Orioles. The former NL Cy Young Award-winner had another fine season, going 15-9 and racking up 181 strikeouts over 32 starts while posting a 2.92 ERA and 1.096 WHIP.

The Orioles will surely extend a qualifying offer to the right-hander this offseason, but Burnes will no doubt reject it and enter free agency. Once the five-day moratorium on free agent negotiations is lifted next week, Burnes will be one of the top pitchers available on the open market.

Are the Dodgers already the favorites to sign Corbin Burnes this offseason?

LA's rotation was vaunted at the outset of the 2024 season, but injuries decimated the Dodgers' pitching staff and it's a good bet that Andrew Friedman and Los Angeles' front office will be looking to add another arm or two this winter. The trio of Clayton Kershaw, Jack Flaherty, and Walker Buehler will be free agents in a matter of days, and it's unclear whether or not any of those pitchers will return next season.

While it would seem that Burnes is intrigued by the idea of joining the Dodgers, and LA will undoubtedly be interested in signing him, other suitors are sure to emerge. In the end, money talks and the Dodgers have a lot of it.

Burnes' ties to the Southern California area will certainly help lure the 30-year-old back to his home state, and if the Dodgers make a competitive offer, Los Angeles may have their ace of the future. Free agency starts next week, and after his cryptic social media post, many Dodgers fans will be keeping an eye on Burnes this offseason.
