At long last, Los Angeles Dodgers fans will have a way to watch their favorite team without blackouts and without a cable or satellite subscription this season.

MLB has partnered with Spectrum SportsNet LA to offer a new streaming service, SNLA+, which will provide subscribers in the Dodgers' home territory with 24/7 digital access to all SportsNet LA programming — including Dodgers games broadcast by the network, pre- and postgame coverage and other original programming — through MLB.com and the MLB app.

Spectrum TV customers who already pay for SportsNet LA will also have access to SNLA+ on the MLB app and MLB.com at no extra cost, as will Spectrum's existing non-video customers who use both internet and mobile service. Additionally, DirecTV customers whose packages include SportsNet LA can access the new service through authentication on the MLB app and MLB.com.

Fans in the Dodgers' home territory who are not Spectrum TV or DirecTV customers may also purchase a standalone SNLA+ subscription for $29.99 per month or $199.99 per year. The service is not available to out-of-market Dodgers fans, but those living outside of the team's home television territory can still watch games via the MLB.TV out of market package.

Dodgers fans get major streaming news for 2025 MLB season with launch of SNLA+

SNLA+ launched in time for the start of the Tokyo Series on Tuesday, which marked the official beginning of the 2025 MLB season. According to the league, the Dodgers are the 23rd MLB team to announce direct-to-consumer streaming options for fans to purchase this season.

MLB's partnership with Spectrum SportsNet LA is similar to the one the league has with SNY, the local TV rights holder for the New York Mets. Fans living in the New York area can stream in-market SNY Mets games and programming on the MLB app by authenticating with their TV provider or purchasing a standalone subscription.

It's also worth noting that at $29.99 per month, an SNLA+ subscription comes at a steeper price than the SNY subscription ($24.99 per month). Additionally, the Arizona Diamondbacks, Cleveland Guardians, Colorado Rockies, Minnesota Twins and San Diego Padres have in-market streaming services under the MLB umbrella that cost just $19.99 per month.

Whatever the case, the extra few bucks will be worth getting rid of the hassle so many loyal fans have dealt with for over a decade.
