Regardless of the video game — The Show, Madden, 2K — one of the first things a player does is take control of their favorite team and load the roster with superstars. Sure, real ones like to move forward with some semblance of reality, but there's almost no fun in that. In many ways, the Los Angeles Dodgers have brought that video game mentality to life.
When Shohei Ohtani became a free agent, the expectation was that the Dodgers were going to sign him. Even when Kyle Tucker was traded to the Chicago Cubs last offseason, everyone knew the Dodgers were going to be the team to sign him this offseason.
It's why it's only a matter of time before Tarik Skubal finds his way to the Dodgers.
Even when it's not expected, the Dodgers find a way to enter the mix (we see you, Edwin Diaz).
When a superstar becomes available, the Dodgers are the team that everyone points to. Even when that superstar doesn't play baseball.
Keep an eye on the Dodgers. https://t.co/5S6ZSyoipY

Dodgers memes go nuclear thanks to wild Giannis trade speculation
The latest superstar drama is taking place in the NBA. If we're being honest, it's a league that thrives on drama. To put in simple and drama-free way: Giannis Antetokounmpo has asked for a trade from the Milwaukee Bucks. To put it in a less flattering way: he told them he is ready for a new home.
The Miami Heat, Golden State Warriors, and New York Knicks are among the teams that have been rumored to land Giannis before the NBA Trade Deadline, but it's not like the Dodgers' front office doesn't have a crossover with the NBA.

Another star heads to LA 🤯 pic.twitter.com/SnMDa6iKzC
Reports last fall suggested that Andrew Friedman and Farhan Zaidi have taken advisory roles with the Lakers' front office. No, the Lakers aren't expected to be involved in trade talks with the Bucks, but at the very least, the Dodgers' front office might be aware of the asking price.
As long as we're down this rabbit hole, we might as well speculate on what position Antetokounmpo would play if he were to dabble with the game of baseball. At 6'11", we likely can rule out the middle infield and center field. Perhaps "The Greek Freak" could handle the ropes in one of the corner outfield spots, but a home at first base seems likely.
Perhaps this needs to happen now. It might be time to create a player in MLB The Show.
