Opening Day has arrived, but the Los Angeles Dodgers have already revealed the new Uniqlo signage at Dodger Stadium. Earlier this month, the team announced a naming rights deal with the Japanese fashion giant. The partnership was yet another sign of Shohei Ohtani's influence on the Dodgers' business model, but some Dodgers fans were concerned with the optics of the move.
No, Dodger Stadium wasn't going to be renamed Uniqlo Stadium. Instead, in what has become a popular trend across spots, the Dodgers have named the field while keeping "Dodger Stadium" in place.

There you have it, it's Uniqlo Field at Dodger Stadium. Sure, it doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, but it's also not terrible.
Baseball is certainly a sport that likes to gatekeep certain things, so there likely are going to be a few Dodgers fans up in arms with the reveal. It's another instance of adapt with the times or get left behind.
What has made the Dodgers successful is their business model. They almost always are ahead of the curve, and that has allowed them to take advantage of the rules afforded to them. Time will tell how successful this partnership will be, but chances are LA will be sitting in the green for a long time.
Dodgers News: Edwin Diaz's "Narco" entrance highlights the team's walk-up song
The Dodgers didn't sign Edwin DÃaz because of his electric entrance featuring "Narco" by Blasterjaxx and Timmy Trumpet; they needed a definitive answer at the backend of the bullpen, but it certainly doesn't hurt that it will be taking place in LA moving forward.
Baseball players can be creatures of habit, so with the reveal of the Dodgers' walk-up songs for the 2026 season, it certainly isn't much different from the last few years. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
So, Dodgers fans will once again hear the tunes of Cardi B, Miley Cyrus, Lupe Fiasco, and Johnny Cash, among others, throughout the season. As for the new arrival, Kyle Tucker, he uses "Walk Thru" by the late Rich Homie Quan.
Dodgers News: Dodger Dogs might just back seat to the new food offerings this summer
Dodger Dogs have become a staple at Dodgers games during the summer, but the team revealed some new food offerings this season. Among the items added to the menu this season are cochinita pibil bone marrow tacos, char siu pork loaded fries, loco moco bowl, and a watermelon habanero margarita to wash it all down.

Yes, we're a long way from hot dogs and Cracker Jack. And, if we're being entirely honest, the ideal of innovative ballpark food has jumped the shark. That being said, we'll take 14 of everything.
