The 2025 World Series stage is officially set. The Los Angeles Dodgers will look to become the first back-to-back champions since the 1998-2000 New York Yankees – but they'll have to go through the Toronto Blue Jays, who will be making their first World Series appearance since 1993.

The Blue Jays (94-68) will be the home team over the Dodgers (93-69) because they had the better regular-season record. The showdown begins Friday, and all games will be broadcast on FOX in the United States. The full schedule can be found below:

Dodgers News: Kiké Hernández will break franchise postseason record in World Series

When utility man (and postseason specialist) Kiké Hernández plays in Game 1 of the World Series on Friday, it will be his 86th career postseason game with the Dodgers – matching Justin Turner for the most in franchise history. Assuming Hernández plays again in Game 2 (and beyond), he'll soon have the record all to himself.

Hernández has played in the postseason for the Dodgers in nine different years (2015-20, 2023-25), and his 32 career games in the NLCS are the most in franchise history. Though he didn’t have a hit in the last two NLCS games against the Milwaukee Brewers, he is still hitting .306/.375/.417 with four doubles and seven runs scored in 10 games during the 2025 postseason.

Dodgers News: Albert Pujols no longer a candidate for Angels managerial job

When the Los Angeles Angels dismissed manager Ron Washington following the conclusion of the regular season, former Dodgers infielder and future Hall of Famer Albert Pujols was immediately rumored to be a top candidate for the job.

However, according to a report from Jon Heyman of the New York Post, Pujols and the Angels have since broken off talks as the two sides remain far apart regarding "coaches, resources and compensation." Sam Blum of The Athletic further reported that it would be "very unlikely" that the parties find common ground in terms of a potential contract.

Pujols spent part of the 2021 season with the Dodgers, signing a Major League deal with the club after being designated for assignment by the Angels in May of that year. He hit his 700th career home run as a member of the Dodgers before returning to the St. Louis Cardinals for one final season and ultimately retiring in 2022.

Since his retirement, Pujols has served as a special assistant to the Angels, an MLB Network analyst and even as manager of the Leones del Escogido in the Dominican Professional Baseball League. He is reportedly still a candidate for the open managerial roles with the San Diego Padres and the Baltimore Orioles.
