The five players atop the Dodgers' prospect pipeline are names that even fans who aren't uber-tapped into the minor leagues might know. Dalton Rushing, Josue De Paula, Jackson Ferris, Alex Freeland, and Zyhir Hope (we'll get to him later) are at the top for a reason. Rushing and Freeland are the closest to the majors and accordingly have the most eyes on them, but there are others even further down the pipeline (or not ranked at all) who are still making quiet moves in the minors.
The Dodgers promoted pitchers Sean Linan and Jose Rodriguez (No. 27 per MLB Pipeline) on May 8 to High-A and Triple-A, respectively, per Sam Dykstra of MiLB.com and OKC broadcaster Alex Freedman.
Linan, an international signing out of Colombia in 2022, clearly earned his promotion; he pitched 29 2/3 innings in Single-A for a 1.21 ERA to start the season after a rocky arrival to Rancho Cucamonga last year. Rodriguez, who was also an NRI this year, seems to have a little more to prove. He had just 12 innings under belt in Double-A to start the year, and they weren't exactly pretty, as his ERA ballooned to 67.50 after 2/3 of a inning when he gave up five runs, and he only worked it down to 8.25 before the promotion.
He's pitched 2 2/3 innings in Triple-A and has already been blown up in another 2/3 of an inning (he gave up four runs this time), but the Dodgers are clearly intrigued by him.
Dodgers Prospect Update: Pitchers Sean Linan, Jose Rodriguez promoted; massive Zyhir Hope HR
The aforementioned Hope, part of the Michael Busch trade last year, has quickly become a fan favorite. He rocketed from No. 21 in the pipeline last year to No. 5 this year, and he's batting .286 with a .891 through 33 games in High-A.
On Wednesday, he hit his fifth home run of the season, a go-ahead two run shot in the top of the ninth, clear over the outfield fence and into the street outside of Dow Diamond. It's kind of a miracle it didn't hit a car.

Hope was only promoted to High-A at the start of this season, but it won't be surprising if we get news of a promotion late in the season.
Hope's power is one of the most highly-touted aspects of his game (along with his arm all over the outfield), and he's been living up to expectations so far.
