The Los Angeles Dodgers will kick off their MLB season earlier than 28 other teams in the league, just as they did last year.

The Dodgers have become a fixture of MLB's international series before Opening Day stateside, and they need to set their roster earlier than the majority of other clubs. Luckily for them, the sheer star power on the roster makes their decisions easy.

LA manager Dave Roberts has already announced the top of its 2025 order, and the Dodgers will line up exactly as fans expected. Shohei Ohtani will lead off, followed by Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman and Teoscar Hernández, in that order.

Ohtani, Betts, Freeman and Hernández hit alongside one another during the team's World Series run last year, and it paid off. From walk-offs to game-trying grand slams, the Dodgers' power bats delivered in the alignment they'll use on Opening Day and, if all goes well, maybe all season.

Ohtani hopes to return to pitching this season after he underwent Tommy John surgery before the 2024 slate. The two-way player also underwent shoulder surgery this offseason after he tore his labrum making a slide during Game 2 of the World Series. Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reported that Ohtani faced live pitching for the first time since the procedure on Feb. 21, so it seems like his rehab is coming along nicely.

Ardaya also reported that Freeman has begun running after he underwent surgery to repair the sprained ankle he played on throughout the entire postseason. The first baseman shared on Feb. 16 that he's "perfectly on track" to play in the Dodgers' upcoming season-opening Tokyo series against the Cubs.

If those two are fully healthy, we could see even better production than what went down in October, if fans can even believe that.
